Toyota Wants To Keep Teen Drivers Safe

Fresh from obtaining their driving license, it is normal for teens to want to be branded as a good driver. Despite this, the first year a teenager gets their driver’s license will be one of the most dangerous of their lives and automobile crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers. No matter how safe today’s cars have been equipped, there’s no stopping against teens and their raging hormones.

As a way to make teens and their parents aware of this disturbing fact, Toyota launched a new driving safety platform called TeenDrive365. Through this program, families can easily navigate the crucial first year of their teen’s independent driving. At the same time, it will help teens be aware of what to do during certain scenarios when they are tempted to push their luck.

The program was molded after a recently conducted study by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, wherein results showed that parents play a significant role on how their teens behave when they’re driving.

Some of the modules that are part of the program include the following:

  • Information on Teen Safe Driving Events
  • Resources from Toyota Teen Driver
  • Safety Tips and Facts
  • Toyota’s Mutual Driving Agreement
  • Toyota Parent/Teen Safety Challenge on Facebook

By introducing this driving safety program, a number of teenagers will be saved from making harsh decisions on how they should be driving. This will immensely lessen the number of teenagers getting involved in a car accident. If you have a teen who is ready for their first car, come into Miller Toyota today.
