Great Manassas Food Trucks
From pub fare to barbeque to authentic Indian cuisine, Manassas, VA features a deliciously eclectic restaurant scene that’s absolutely brimming with local flavor and culinary talent. And though you’ll find plenty of places for a nice, sit-down meal, some of the best food in town is served out of the back of a truck.
If you’ve never tried the street food in Manassas, you’re really missing out. So whether you’re a local or just passing through. here are three of the best food trucks you’ll find driving around this historic city.
The Frenchman
This moveable feast is owned and operated by Chef Johnnie Thomas and features a menu that flawlessly combines southern flavor with French-technique. After training in the culinary arts at Johnson and Wales, Chef Thomas spent many years working in highly-accredited fine dining establishments before stepping out to create something of his own.
On the menu, you’ll find baskets of mont frites (crispy fries in garlic), baked brie, fried chicken sandwiches, and more. We suggest trying the Napoleon the Arrogant sandwich, which features Swiss cheese, truffle aioli, and sauteed mushrooms on top of deep fried chicken.
The Frenchman’s schedule is different day by day. You’ll often find this truck hanging out around some of Manassas’ local breweries. Get an updated weekly schedule on their website.
Bacon Weakling
This appropriately titled truck encourages patrons to embrace their addiction and give in to the smoky, salty, fatty flavors of bacon. All joking aside, you probably didn’t know there were so many unique (and tasty) ways to incorporate bacon into a meal.
You can swing by this truck for breakfast and pick up a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich, breakfast burrito, or classic breakfast bowl. For lunch and dinner, you might try the Salmon BLT which comes with chipotle salmon, double smoked bacon, heirloom tomatoes, butter lettuce, and smoked mayo between two pieces of sourdough. There’s also bacon snacks, bacon mac-n-cheese, and just a literal pile of bacon on a plate.
You can often find Bacon Weakling serving up breakfast at Marine Corps Base Quantico in front of Little Hall, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am through 9:30 am. For other scheduled locations, follow them on Facebook & Instagram, or check out the truck locator on their website.

Stay Cheesy
As you might guess from the name, most everything on the menu at Stay Cheesy is derived from everyone’s household favorite, the grilled cheese. You can get a mouth-watering classic – made with thick slabs of melted American cheese between two toasted pieces of french bread – or have it made with bbq chicken, a burger patty, turkey, or lots of tasty veggies. You can also order a gooey pile of “redneck” nachos or a big ol’ bowl of mac-n-cheese.
You can grab a bite anytime between 9 am and 5 pm. Follow them on Facebook or call (571) 262-9948 for location information.
