The Harris Pavilion hosts its fair share of events and activities throughout the year. One day, it might have a wedding, and the next day, it might host a chili cook-off. September and October have the same eclectic mix of activities and events that the people of Manassas expect when it comes to the pavilion. Let’s look at some of the most exciting options.

Thursday Farmers Market

Buy fresh and local produce at the Thursday Farmers Market at the Harris Pavilion. Local farmers start selling their wares at 7:30 a.m., and it goes to 1 p.m. Be sure to catch the cooking demonstrations at the market. You can learn how to make some delicious food using fresh ingredients at the demonstrations.

Fall Jubilee

The 35^th Annual Fall Jubilee Manassas will be at the Harris Pavilion on October 7. This huge celebration is free to enter. You’ll get to enjoy live entertainment, including live music. You can also play games or shop at one of the crafter’s booths. Oh, and don’t forget your pumpkins. It’s almost time to carve pumpkins for Halloween, and you can pick some up at the jubilee.

You can also enter the pie-baking contest, or if eating is more of your thing, take part in the pie-eating contest. It’s all about knowing where your skillset is.

Payton’s Project Awareness Walk – Freeze Bullying for Payton

Bullying is a serious issue that kids face every day. You can do your part to raise awareness by participating in Payton’s Project Awareness Walk – Freeze Bullying for Payton. This is the second annual walk, and it honors Payton Rose Freeze. Freeze was a victim of bullying, and her parents want to help other kids who face the same challenges. The 5k run/walk starts at the Harris Pavilion. Sign up so you can do your part to end bullying.
