This Week: Ducks Unlimited Dinner & 2018 Mardi Gras Gala

This week, two exciting events are taking place, and Miller Toyota is proud to be a sponsor. Both of these dinners guarantee a good time, and the causes they benefit are certainly worth supporting.

Prince William Ducks Unlimited Dinner

If great food, great people, and incredible raffle prizes sound like a good time to you, then make plans to attend the Prince William Ducks Unlimited Dinner. The dinner takes place at the Virginia Portuguese Community Center on Friday, Feb. 23. It runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Ducks Unlimited is an organization that supports wetland preservation for local waterfowl. Support of this organization has helped conserve more than 48,000 acres of wetlands and waterfowl habitat in Virginia and more than 14 million acres throughout North America.

27th Mardi Gras Gala

Get ready to laissez les bons temps rouler at the Novant Health UVA Health Systems Prince William Medical Center Foundation’s 27th Mardi Gras Gala. This gala takes place Saturday, Feb. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. It will be held at Bull Run Golf Club in Haymarket. The evening includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, an elegant seated dinner, and music by The Rock Doctors. Attire for the event is black tie optional.

Proceeds from this event will support the Women’s and Children’s Service Line. In addition, money will go toward up-fitting two Emergency Department exam rooms to make them child-friendly, and providing breast cancer screenings for un- and under-insured persons. This is important since 90–95 percent of the patients served by the NHUVAHS mammography coach do not have insurance.
