Toyota takes the 2024 Tacoma to a whole new level that will surely impress anyone who gets behind the wheel of this compact pickup truck. The Tacoma was fully redesigned for the 2024 model year, and it also kicks off the Tacoma’s fourth generation. The 2024 also received more modern features, updated powertrains, and a wider selection of trim levels. The Tacoma has eight trim levels – SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma comes standard with 17-inch wheels, but 18-inch and 33-inch wheels are available on select trim levels. You’ll also find that the Tacoma is equipped with large fenders, skid plates, and side functional air intakes, but features like signature headlamps, power running boards, and a power liftgate are available on select trims. The Tacoma also has several exterior paint colors available, including Black, Wind Chill Pearl, Blue Crush Metallic, Underground, Bronze Oxide, Supersonic Red, Celestial Silver Metallic, Solar Octane, and Ice Cap.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma can comfortably seat up to five passengers in its two rows and boast high-quality materials, and on select trims, it has heated and cooled front seats. Features like an Isodynamic seat with an air-over-oil system, which helps better control body movement on an uneven surface, are available on the TRD Pro. You’ll also be impressed by the raised seating position, added headspace, and adjustable steering column. In addition, the Tacoma is available with an extended cab, which pairs with a six-foot cargo bed, and a crew cab, which pairs with either the longer box or a shorter five-foot version. There’s also three times more storage space and is equipped with flat-folding rear seatbacks.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s base engine, available on the SR, is powered by a 228-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, while the rest of the trim levels are powered by the iForce powertrain which is a 278-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 317 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the available engine is the iForce MAX, a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
All Tacoma models feature body-on-frame construction, but two different rear suspensions exist. For example, the SR, SR5 extended-cab, and the TRD PreRunner have leaf springs, while the rest of the lineup is equipped with coil springs.
None for its off-roading capabilities, the Trailhunter and TRD Pro exclusive suspension components, underbody protection, and knobby 33-inch Goodyear Territory R/T Tires help the Tacoma be ready for any adventure.
When properly equipped, the iForce powertrain can tow up to 6,500 pounds.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen and a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster, while a 14-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch all-digital unit are available on select trims. You’ll also find standard features like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and a head-up display on the Tacoma, while wireless device charging, Smart Card Key, and JBL audio system are optional.
