What 2016 Toyota Camry Trim Level Is Right for You?
If you plan to drive the Toyota Camry around Manassas, you will want to make sure that you choose the right trim level for your needs. All five trim levels are great choices, and you can even pick the Camry Hybrid if you want to boost fuel economy. To get a better idea of which version of the Camry you should drive, consider how each trim compares to the others.
2016 Toyota Camry Engines
It is worth noting that the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine in the Camry generates 178 horsepower and a torque of 170 pound-feet. This engine will give you up to 28 mpg combined*. If you are going to want more power, you will need to pick either the XSE or XLE trim to get the 268-horsepower, 248-pound-foot 3.5-liter V6 engine, which still maintains 25 mpg combined*. These top trims are available with either engine while the lower ones only offer the 4-cylinder.
Most trims come with a comfort-tuned suspension, but the SE, Special Edition, and XSE give you a sport-tuned one.
Toyota Camry Exterior Features
The base Camry LE trim gives you more than just basic exterior features, offering standard heated mirrors and automatic headlights along with its 16-inch steel wheels. If you prefer 17-inch alloy wheels, then you will want the SE trim. The exterior of this trim is sport themed. The Camry Special Edition has 18-inch wheels and smoked taillights. The XSE has different 18-inch wheels. You lose the sporty styling with the top-of-the-line XLE trim level, which has 17-inch alloy wheels.
Camry Interior Convenience and Comfort
Across the Camry lineup, you get air-conditioning, keyless entry, and cruise control. The base LE trim has rear seats that split 60/40 and fold, 2-way power lumbar and 8-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat, and cloth upholstery. For a sportier interior with leather and paddle shifters on the steering wheel and upholstery that combines synthetic leather with cloth, go with the SE.
The Special Edition gives you the convenience of a hands-free trunk opening, keyless entry, and keyless ignition. It also adds blue interior trim with special gauges and the extremely useful Qi wireless charging for your smartphone. These features are eliminated on the XSE, but you do get heated front seats, 4-way power adjustment for the passenger, and upholstery that combines synthetic suede with leather. For even more comfort, you also get dual-zone automatic climate control. Although the XLE trim takes away some sporty styling, it does add full leather upholstery.
Toyota Camry Technology
Even if you stick to the base Camry LE, you will get Bluetooth audio and phone, a rearview camera, Siri Eyes Free, Entune with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, voice controls, six speakers, an iPod/USB interface, an auxiliary audio jack, and a CD player. The SE trim throws in a 4.2-inch driver information display in color. Either of these trims lets you add the Entune Audio Plus package for satellite radio, HD radio, and a 7-inch touchscreen. This package is standard on the Special Edition trim.
