2015 Toyota Tundra: All V8s!
The 2015 Toyota Tundra is the latest truck in a long line of rugged yet affordable pickups. This half-ton full-size truck saw major updates for the 2014 model, so drivers can expect minimal updates to the 2015 Tundra. There are still enough upgrades to show that Toyota stays on top of innovation and features.
Updates for 2015
One of the biggest changes to the 2015 Toyota Tundra is the addition of the TRD Pro Off-Road model. This model has a unique appearance, aggressive stance, and impressive capabilities due to its TRD suspension and TRD-tuned Bilstein High-Performance shocks. Double Cab models now have an under-seat storage tray in the rear, and there is an optional spray-in bed liner. The 2015 Tundra is completely assembled in Texas, offering a true American-made vehicle.
All V8 Engines
Another change for 2015 is to the engine options; now no matter what size engine you select, you will get a V8. The standard engine is the 4.6-liter i-Force that generates 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for the popular 5.7-liter i-Force for 381 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Drivers still have the choice of gas or Flex Fuel versions of the 5.7-liter engine. All engines work with a 6-speed automatic transmission plus rear-wheel drive, although you can upgrade to 4WD if you prefer.
Plenty of Configurations
The Tundra is designed to fit everyone’s needs, and as such, it comes in a wide range of configurations. Drivers get to pick from 3 different cab styles: the Regular Cab has 2 doors, the Double Cab has 4, and the CrewMax has 4 and extra interior space. Regular Cabs all come with the long bed (8.1 feet), and CrewMax Cabs come with the short bed (5.5 feet). Those driving a Double Cab can pick from the long bed or the standard one (6.5 feet).
