Choosing a specific car model and trim package can be long-winded and confusing. We used to have Ford Model T’s that came in black, and black — not a lot of choices. These days each model and trim package has perks that will make you take a second look at the price tag. This year, eyes have turned to the “all new” 2014 Toyota Corolla to see what it has to offer. Toyota customers have not been disappointed, but they would like to know what the difference is between the Corolla LE and the Corolla LE ECO.

There are a few standard things that the LE and LE ECO have in common. The 2014 Corolla is roomier, has better handling, and has LED headlights. It also comes standard with hands-free, steering wheel phone controls. Although it doesn’t have quite as sporty of a look as the Mazda 3 or Ford Focus, it makes up for it by having what Kelley Blue Book calls a “home run” interior. Here are the differences between the interior trim levels of the Corolla LE and LE ECO.

2014 Corolla LE

LE models have Entune 6-speaker audio, Bluetooth integration, and remote keyless entry. Other LE luxuries include automatic climate control with filters for dust and pollen, heated side mirrors, and an integrated back up camera with path projection. It has a 6-direction, power-adjusted driver seat and 4-way adjustable passenger seat. The Corolla LE has a 29 mpg/city and 38 mpg/highway fuel economy*.

2014 Corolla LE ECO

The Corolla LE ECO models use the all-new Valvematic technology, which is a technological advance unique to Toyota. It has heated front seats covered with SofTex®, with an 8-direction power adjusted driver seat and 4-way adjustable passenger seat. The driver seat also has a pocket on the back. The LE ECO also has improved fuel economy, bringing its mpg up to 30/city and 40/highway*.

In all reality, there isn’t much difference in trim between the 2014 Corolla LE and 2014 Corolla LE ECO. They both have the wonderful convenience of cruise control. The LE and LE ECO have the upgraded interior with metallic trim, color-keyed door panel piping, and chrome indoor handles. The key set for both has the power to lock, unlock, panic, release the trunk, and provide light when unlocking. Like the other Corollas including the L they have:

  • Power windows
  • Rear window defogger
  • Day/night rearview mirror
  • Overhead console with light
  • Center console for storage
  • Glove compartment
  • 4 door storage pocket with bottle holder
  • 12V power outlet
  • 2 forward and 2 rear cup holders
  • Digital clock

For those looking for a new Toyota Corolla for sale in Chantilly, with a touch of class, the best way to decide which model you want is to go for a test drive and have a look inside. If you don’t know what you want, a live action view is just what you need to decide.
